Summer Pu'er tea

Summer is a special time for Pu'er tea drinkers. Summer is not only a great time to drink refreshing cold brew tea, it’s also the time of year when the newly harvested spring tea is ready to drink. Summer is an incredible season for Pu'er tea lovers who like to be at the forefront of the tea world.
As we've discussed before, Denong Spring Tea is characterized by its rather vibrant, thick, emerald green leaves that brew into a bright, flavorful tea with a strong aftertaste.
Due to the moisture involved in the Pu'er tea making process, tea drinkers are generally advised to wait about three months before drinking freshly pressed tea cakes. For spring-picked tea, this means that late summer and early autumn are the drinking periods for spring-picked tea cakes.
The drought conditions in 2017 & 2019 made our spring tea picking in these two years extraordinary. Due to the limited amount of water in the area, only the strongest tea trees were able to produce tea, making the resulting limited supply of tea an exceptionally strong crop.
